VOTE OR DIE: FASHION STATEMENT OR POLITICAL STANCE?

"Vote or Die." This is not a death threat to undecided voters. The stern slogan coined by rap mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has become a new trend in politics and fashion. Combs and his non-partisan, non-profit voter's initiative organization, Citizen Change, has plastered the motto on designer clothing and national syndicated public service announcements in an effort to motivate young minorities to vote in this year's critical presidential election.

Proudly sporting the bold "Vote or Die" message on stylish t-shirts and trucker hats, countless Howard University students show their support for the fashion savvy campaign. While the motto seemingly receives a sign of approval from undergraduates, there are many graduate students who are a little more skeptical of the voting initiative, posing important questions and concerns.
