KERRY'S PATH TO THE HISPANIC VOTE
Colorado's 63 delegates in Boston this week for the Democratic National Convention are looking for signs that John Kerry will juice up his effort to woo the state's large Hispanic voting bloc.
Delegate Manny Rodriguez of Denver is taking the point, seeking sharp attention from the Kerry campaign to issues that impact the state's growing Latino community.
Much is at stake. Kerry has targeted Colorado as a battleground state to be wrested from President Bush this November. In addition, we have one of the most closely watched Senate races in the country.
One Kerry outreach effort is just getting underway, but Coloradans wonder if it is miscast.
