AGENCY PLANS NICHE NEWSPAPERS

By Julie Dunn
Denver Post Staff Writer

The Denver Newspaper Agency, publisher of The Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News, said it is developing several new publications that target demographic niches such as Hispanics and the 18-39 age group.

"We have a product-development group that periodically tries to assess market opportunities, and we're constantly looking for ways to give our advertisers a new outlet," said DNA spokesman Jim Nolan.

He said the agency is looking at a weekly publication that targets Colorado's fast-growing Latino community, as well as a separate publication focusing on the overall 18-to-39-year- old market.

"We've been looking at the Hispanic market for a while," he said. "I'm not prepared to go into detail about the publications, because the project is still evolving."
