VIDEO SERIES AIMS TO HELP LATINO IMMIGRANTS NAVIGATE

A group of Utahns are launching a series of Spanish-language videos, the first aimed at helping Latinos navigate the police and immigration systems. At a Wednesday conference, Mike Arnow, president of Salt Lake-based Gold Bell Productions, Inc. will preview the first video called "What you should know about immigration and police."
Arnow said the videos teach about interacting with law enforcement agencies, informing Spanish speakers about their rights and responsibilities. It also addresses fraud and how newcomers can protect themselves against businesses that prey on immigrants. The video features various Utahns of Latino descent. The films, which will have English subtitles, will premiere sometime in the summer, Arnow said.
