PROJECT ENTERPRISE TO HOST SMALL BUSINESS NETWORKING
NIGHT WITH BYRON LEWIS OF UNIWORLD GROUP INC.

Byron Lewis, founder of UniWorld Group Inc., will be the featured speaker at the upcoming Project Enterprise Small Business Networking Night to be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the Columbia University Low Library Rm. 207 (116th and Broadway). The Project Enterprise Small Business Networking Night, co-sponsored by the Harlem Business Alliance and the KIP Business Report, gives small business owners a chance to meet and discuss problems, exchange ideas, swap business cards and give advice. "Networking events and business workshops are an essential part of the Project Enterprise program. They give a major boost to the entrepreneurs we serve, and help them take their businesses to the next level," stated Arva Rice, Executive Director of Project Enterprise.

As the featured speaker, Mr. Lewis will discuss how he got started in the advertising business and his inspirational story of how he went from unemployment to the head of a multi-million dollar advertising firm. Throughout his presentation he will touch on the themes of: how he made his first $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000; how he prepared himself for success; what fears he had to face before he was able to be really successful and what risks he had to take in order to get to the next level. "Mr. Lewis is clearly a role model to the entrepreneurs in our program and we are delighted to be have him for this event," stated Ms. Rice.

Byron Lewis founded UniWorld Group, Inc. in 1969 after searching unsuccessfully to find employment within the historically restricted mainstream advertising agencies. Over the past 35 years he has built a company that produces advertising , event marketing, public relations and promotions for an impressive roster of clients including Fortune 500 companies.

Project Enterprise is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and developing entrepreneurs in under-resourced communities in New York City. By providing access to business loans, business development services and networking opportunities, these entrepreneurs are able to increase their standard of living, create jobs for their communities, and build financial assets.
